Student management
What is a suspension meeting?
A school’s board must have a meeting to determine what action to take regarding a suspended student.
The board’s role is to make an unbiased decision as to whether and on what conditions the student may return to school.
The student, the student’s parents, and their representatives are entitled to attend at least one meeting of the board and speak at that meeting.
The board must take these views into account when making their decision(s).
